Indoor Cannabis Grow House

Uppteam’s MEP designers collaborated on a cutting-edge cannabis grow facility project in California. This commercial project, designed for optimal plant growth,required precise MEP system design. The medical marijuana facility features a meticulously engineered environment with controlled temperature, humidity, air circulation, and CO2 levels. Our team provided code-compliant MEP design services, including specialty equipment like gas turbines, absorption chillers, and LED grow lights.
Uppteam designed a highly efficient co-generation plant with a natural gas turbine, vapor absorption chiller, cooling tower, heat exchanger, and primary and secondary redundant pumps to meet the client’s energy needs. The LEED-approved carrier Hap software was used for HVAC load calculations and energy analysis to optimize efficiency. We incorporated RO water supply and water-cooled LED grow lights to ensure plant health. The facility’s unique lighting system, powered by a closed-loop cooling tower and pumping system, further enhanced the growth environment.
