Resturant
A Jamaican Restaurant

Uppteam’s MEP designers designed a vibrant Jamaican restaurant over 6,000 sq. ft. The project included two kitchens, two dining areas, and a spacious waiting area. The restaurant’s pitched roof heightened the project’s complexity, requiring innovative solutions such as designing a truss in the kitchen and accommodating a large kitchen hood exhaust duct in a limited space. The large kitchen hood exhaust duct necessitated higher ducting in a restricted space.
Uppteam’s engineering designers provided comprehensive MEP designs to ensure optimal performance and comfort. We calculated electrical and mechanical loads, ensuring adequate ventilation and air balance. Additionally, we designed a direct current system, if applicable, for specific equipment or lighting. For the plumbing system, we calculated grease loads and selected appropriate fixtures and equipment.
We selected lighting fixtures, designed power systems for kitchen equipment, and implemented emergency and egress lighting. By adhering to NEC standards and conducting photometric calculations, our team ensured the restaurant’s lighting met code requirements and created a welcoming atmosphere.
