The client assigned us to create concept and equipment designs for the restaurant. They provided architectural drawings for floor plans, elevations, kitchen equipment, and other sections.
Challenges
Our experts found working with specialty kitchen equipment a considerable challenge. We also needed to find the best location for placing equipment on the roof.
While we had only 2 weeks to complete the project, continuous coordination with other stakeholders, like architects, required a lot of time, effort, and attention. Besides, we were tasked with getting approval from the client for each update our team made.
Solutions
Uppteam’s MEP designers coordinated with the kitchen drawings provided by the architects to create connections for kitchen appliances. We shared the estimation with the client before starting the project. Our team also coordinated with the client’s structural engineers for roof equipment.
Based on the construction document provided by the client, we efficiently completed the MEP design documentation within a tight deadline and competitive cost, helping the client meet margins.
The team began by analyzing architectural drawings, then worked in phases to build and evaluate the concept plan while keeping the customer informed.
